There are many ways in which you may support the Library through donations of money or time! Please consider supporting the Library through one of the following opportunities.
Donations
Funds can be donated to the Library’s general operations or may be designated for a particular area of interest or for the benefit of a specific branch. Donations to the Northwest Regional Library System are considered charitable contributions under the IRS Code and your donations may be tax deductible. Donating Books/Materials
NWRLS welcomes donated materials at all of our locations. Gift items are reviewed using the same criteria as those purchased and must be in good enough condition to make their processing economically feasible. Once donated, gift items become the property of the library and can be discarded, sold within the library, donated to local non-profit organizations or added to the library collection.
Donations that are added to the collection are typically placed in the branch where they were donated, unless a more suitable location is determined. Gift materials are only accepted if there are no stipulations by the donor as to the disposition.
Library staff can provide a receipt showing the number and types of materials donated, for tax purposes, but cannot provide the value of donated items.
Tributes and Memorials
Celebrate a special occasion, pay tribute to a friend, or memorialize a loved one by giving a Tribute or Memorial Gift to the Library. For each $25.00 donation, a book (or audiovisual item) will be purchased for the library. Each item purchased will contain a gift plate with your name as donor and the name of the person honored (see sample image). You can choose the format, age range, and subject of the item purchased. You can also determine which library location is to receive the gift.
Simply complete a Tribute and Memorial Gift form and mail it to the address on the form along with your check, or deliver in person to any library location. Although we cannot guarantee the purchase of a specific title, every effort will be made to purchase material in the subject area and/or format requested. Selections will be made by Library staff in accordance with materials selection policies and based upon need of the library designated.
The Tribute and Memorial Gift form is also available in all library locations.

Become a Volunteer
Volunteers enhance library services each day. As a NWRLS volunteer you can support your library, make new friends, share your talents with the community and learn new skills.
