Library cards are free to residents of Bay, Gulf and Liberty counties and are valid at any library in the system. A non-resident card may be purchased for $20 per year. Photo ID and address verification is required. A fee of $2 is charged for replacement cards. A parent or guardian must sponsor children under age 16 and be responsible for any fines or fees accrued on the account. Parents are responsible for the book (and other material) selections of their children.
Patrons may fill out the form online to pre-register for a library card. To borrow physical library materials, or digital titles (e-book and e-audiobooks) from the Libby app, patrons will need to visit their local library branch to get their official library card. Patrons must present a valid photo I.D. and proof of local address (if not on the photo I.D.) to receive their library card.
Access to the Libby app requires a library card number and an 8 character alpha numeric password. If you have forgotten your 8-character password, please call 850-522-2100 with your library card number (starting with 266) and a staff-member can assist you. There is not an option to reset your password online.
The temporary library card number (starting with OBR), provided after pre-registration, allows patrons immediate access to the library’s remote online databases. Additional details about library card registration and material borrowing can be found on the library policies page, http://www.nwrls.com/policies.
