Sourcing History and Science: The 1528 Narváez Expedition

January 26, 2027 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST
Free
""
Archaeologist Jim Dunbar worked for the Florida Bureau of Archaeological Research. Join us to learn about his research placing the Narváez expeditionary force’s landing and exodus exclusively in Florida’s Big Bend, not in Tampa Bay as previously believed. The expedition fled Florida to escape the Apalachee warriors, whose longbow-shot arrows penetrated the conquistadors’ armor.
This Tuesday @ 2 Educational Presentation is free and open to the public.
