Bay County Writers Fest

Bay County has a wonderful community of local authors. Meet our authors and learn about their books! Each author will have a table in the library. Books will be available for sale and for book signing. Some authors may be cash/check only, while others have card readers.
Youth Services Program Room:
Family Storytime at 11 a.m.
Local children’s book authors will read their books to families!
Family Film Screening and Discussion at 3 p.m.
Screening with filmmaker/author, Rifk Ebeid, of her animated film short, I am from Palestine (2023) about Palestinian identity. It is an official selection at several international film festivals!
Crepe and Cream Food Truck will be in the parking lot from 11 – 2 p.m.

Where: Gulf Coast State College Campus in the Black Box Theater located at the Amelia Center Theater Lab, Room 152
Panel discussion facilitated by GCSC Literature Assistant Professor, Kristen Russell. Authors include Mark Douglas, Kayley Thomas, Milinda Jay, Michael Lister, and Grant Deam.
Story Weavers: Crafting the Self Art Exhibit Opening
Saturday, September 23 (6 – 8 p.m.)
Where: BayWitch – 424 Harrison Avenue
Visit the library during the day, and then head downtown for a satellite art exhibit focused on the visual art of storytelling at BayWitch!
