Where do I begin?
Guide to Using Electronic Databases at Home
We provide patrons with a number of electronic databases, most of which you can access freely from your home or office computer. They require a log-in, which is the barcode number on the back of your library card.
These databases are not free Internet sites. They are the electronic versions of library materials and will provide reliable sources of information. Most of the databases are part of the Florida Virtual Library and are provided through the State Legislature. We hope that this Guide will help you take advantage of this excellent service.
To begin, go to the Library homepage at the following address: www.nwrls.com and click on Databases. You'll be asked to log in with your library barcode number. No other password is required. Then click on a database:

There are also InfoTrac databases for students: Kid's Edition for elementary school, Junior Edition for middle schoolers, and Student Edition for students in High School. For Middle School students through Undergraduates, General Reference Center Gold is another good choice.
Finding books and other library materials
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog). The best way to find good sources of information is to do a subject search in our online catalog. You can access the catalog from home by going to our Web Page (www.nwrls.com) and clicking on Catalog. Follow the link to click on Catalog or Patron Review.
