Meet Our Bookstore Volunteers
Dottie Arthur Lena McCullough Cindy & Joseph Rebecca Miller Barbara Schwarzauer Pam Potter Gloria & Jim Martin

Dottie Arthur:
Dottie is actively concerned for the library and its success. She graciously donates four to five days a month to come and work in our “Read Again Book Store.” We appreciate the sacrifice she so selflessly gives.

Lena McCullough: Lena has always been an avid reader and enjoys volunteering in libraries. Prior to retiring and relocating back to the Panama City area, she volunteered at the “Resale Book Store” sponsored by the Friends of the Library in Seattle, WA. Lena volunteers at our “Read Again Book Store” on Mondays and Thursdays.

Cindy & Joseph:  From an early age when my mother took the family on weekly library excursions, I have been a patron who can happily spend endless hours at the library.  After my son was born, together we began our weekly visits to the Bay County Public Library where we enjoyed the Youth Department programs, computer classes, and an ever expanding book/VCR/DVD collection.  As weekly bookstore volunteers, Joseph and I usually find at least one “treasure” to bring home so I joke when we pay for the treasures at the registration desk by asking “How much did it cost me to volunteer today?”  For us, it is always worth it!

Rebecca Miller:  Rebecca is a retired law enforcement officer with thirty-one years of service. She has been a volunteer at the Library for a year, working in the Read Again Book Store and the Local History Room.

Barbara Schwarzauer:  Barbara volunteers for the “Read Again Book Store”  because of her interest in the library, the book store and their success. She lends a hand four to five days a month to make sure it is manned and stocked for the many patrons who come by to browse the shelves and buy.

Pam Potter:  Pam worked for the Bay County State Attorney’s Office for 31 years. She is now enjoying retirement with her husband Steve and daughter Linzi.

Gloria & Jim Martin:  Gloria and her husband, Jim have lived in Panama City for 30 years; they have two children, seven grandchildren and one great-grand child.

Volunteers We Appreciate You!
