Censorship Simulation
Date: Sunday, September 25
Time: 2 PM
Location: Bay County Public Library Meeting Room
Participate in a mock school board meeting and help decide whether to keep the book Fade by Robert Cormier in our schools. Free copies are available at the Bay County Public Library Reference Desk.


Sidewalk Chalk Art Display
Date: Monday, September 26 and Tuesday, September 27
Location: Gulf Coast State College Student Union Breezeway
Watch art students depict the covers of their favorite banned and censored books.

Theatrical reading of a censored or banned work by theater students


Roundtable Retrospective
Date: Thursday, September 29
Time: 6:00–7:30 PM
Location: Gulf Coast State College Student Center East Conference Room, 2ndfloor
A panel of participants representing diverse perspectives will reflect on the censorship controversies in
Bay County schools during the 1980s and take questions from the audience.


Edible Book Contest
